What’s up my fabulous readers!
Welcome to my Blog! Well technically my second blog. If you haven’t already checked out my nonprofit blog, go check it out here! I digress, that is not what this blog post is about.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let me introduce you to me! As I’m sure you may have figured out by now from exploring my site, I’m McKenzie Garrett. I’m currently 22 years old, a senior at the University of Oregon, and getting my Bachelors this June in Public Relations. I love all things creativity and I always have. I’m a big thinker, and am always coming up with new big ideas. Aside from that, i’m an avid TV show watcher, true-crime-obsessed, and constantly trying to find new ways to keep my brain busy.
Life Happenings
As a kid, I wanted to be a chef, a teacher, a surgeon, and for a small instant an astronaut. Before I realized space is terrifying, of course. In high school I discovered the word entrepreneurship and it kind of stuck. I loved the idea of creating my own business from the ground up and getting to call all of the shots, making the creative decisions, and getting to work with people.
Once I got to college, I craved something more creative that what I was learning as a business major. No hate for business majors, but I am nothing close to a typical finance bro and never will be. So I switched my major. And two short years later, here I am writing this blog post as a PR major who is STRESSED about the impending job search, the owner of two wild wild children (cats), and trying to live my best happy life.
Other than school and job thoughts that are constantly running through my head, I enjoy reading, scrolling through tik tok for endless hours, and hanging out with all of my friends. Like most women my age, I have a problem with being a people pleaser and constantly buying iced coffees.

You know what happens next, I decided to start this blog! I’ll label this blog a lifestyle blog, but I would consider it a little bit of everything in the kitchen sink. Topics that you might find around here: Job search, style and clothes, food posts, life happenings and updates, and so much more! I hope you find it relatable, beneficial, or at least informative.
